A Year 13 student at Bolton School Boys' Division, Alex Polding, will leave the School as a Deloitte Scholar.  He has been awarded an 8 months' paid employment contract on the Deloitte Scholar Scheme and he will work in their Audit Office in Manchester before he goes off to Warwick University to study Economics.

He will receive ongoing financial scholarship throughout university and will have a chance to rejoin Deloittes upon graduation. 

Alex heard about the scheme in a notice in the School Assembly.  He had already completed his work experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers and thought "why not apply?”  He will gain first-hand insight into working for a large financial institution and, long term, hopes to secure graduate employment in financial consultancy.

Mr Richard Catterall, Head of Careers in the Boys’ Division, said: Alex is a very gifted student and he has done remarkably well to beat the stiff competition for this place.  I am sure he will do very well in his future career and all of us wish him well as he leaves us this summer after his A Levels.”
